Jeremiah Gurney Daguerreotype Quarter Plate-Elderly Quaker Woman with Spectacles

The 4th plate daguerreotype of this poor old lady was glued to a
black plaque. Someone used a lot of contact adhesive,
as it oozed into the mat, over the entire back of the plate
and onto the front of the black plaque.
Careful use of heat and a solvent (and much
patience and time) freed her from her nasty
presentation.
