What an incredible find - Beautiful Mother and Daughter Daguerreotype taken at the studio of Jeremiah Gurney in 1852. Small envelope was behind the daguerreotype and it holds a piece of the little girls dress - checked taffeta blue silk. The little girl's grand daughter wrote the note on the envelope in 1946 - 94 years after it was tucked behind for safe keeping.
Too bad she didn't write her grandmother's name on the envelope.
