The ambrotypes below are the only known examples
from the studio of Jeremiah and Benjamin Gurney.
Gurney did not favor the new photographic process,
stating he felt they were "not durable enough".
These ambrotypes were produced at Gurney's 349 and 707 Broadway studios.
